    Homotopia urges 2019 festival fans to Resist! Resist!

    The UK’s longest-running annual festival of LGBT+ arts and culture is back. Homotopia runs from November 1-10 at venues across Liverpool and beyond. This year the theme of the festival is Resist! Resist! which will be explored through a series of performances, plays, talks, exhibitions and “unapologetic celebration of LGBTQ+ culture”. A festival launch party takes place at the Hope Street Hotel on October 31, featuring live music and a DJ set by Sonic Yootha. Tickets are free

    Liverpool Winter Arts Market 2019 date revealed

    The popular annual Winter Arts Market is on its way back to Liverpool Cathedral. The event, organised by Open Culture and featuring craftsmen and women from across the region and beyond, will be held this Saturday, December 7.     Sir Karl Jenkins’ The Armed Man will be performed at Liverpool Cathedral as part of this year's Remembrance weekend commemorations.
