Strictly Pros heading for Merseyside in 2020 and where you can see them


The Strictly pros are heading for Liverpool next year – and the line-up has now been revealed.

Ten top dancers will quickstep into the M&S Bank Arena on May 15 as part of a major Strictly Come Dancing – The Professionals UK tour.

Fans will be able to see Australian Open Champion and 2018 finalist Dianne Buswell; two-time Ballroom and Latin World Champion Nadiya Bychkova; Italian Latin Champion Graziano Di Prima; Professional World Mambo Champion and former Strictly finalist Karen Hauer; World Professional Latin Showdance Champion and 2017 Strictly Champion Katya Jones.

Undefeated four-time British National Champion Neil Jones; eight-time South African Latin American Champion and 2016 Strictly finalist Oti Mabuse; 2017 Strictly finalist Gorka Marquez; four-time Italian Dance Championship winner Luba Mushtuk and two-time Strictly Come Dancing South Africa finalist Johannes Radebe will also appear.

The dancers are promising a fab-u-lous evening of both Latin and Ballroom dance spectaculars at the waterfront venue.

Dance to the Music – St Helens Theatre Royal

January 21

Kristina Rihanoff returns to the St Helens stage after her turn as Tinkerbell in Peter Pan – this time in her own show Dance to the Music.

Hosted by Jake Quickenden who first found fame with on the X Factor, I’m A Celebrity and Dancing On Ice and with a troupe of dancers featuring South African Dancing With The Stars professionals, Marcella Solimeo & Dylon Daniels, this promises to be ‘an evening not to be missed’.

Dance to The Music first and only dance show in the UK to portray the evolution of dance through musical eras and genres from the roaring 20s with the Charleston and tap dances, moving through every decade of dance and finishing with modern day Ballroom and Latin – a total of more than 15 styles of dancing performed to the biggest hits of every decade.


Anton & Erin – Philharmonic Hall

February 29

Ballroom favourites Anton & Erin return to the Phil for an evening that promises to Dance Those Magical Movies.

Expect a Hollywood red carpet premiere performance including musical classics from Breakfast at Tiffany's, Singin' In The Rain, Casablanca, The Wizard of Oz, The Greatest Showman, 007, Titanic, Moulin Rouge and many more.

Live vocals from TV favourite Lance Ellington, a spectacular dance ensemble and a 23-piece orchestra led by conductor Richard Balcombe complete the line up for this strictly super 2020 tour.


Giovanni Pernice – Floral Pavilion/Southport Theatre/St Helens Theatre Royal

March 9/March 19/June 23

Strictly’s cha-cha-charming Italian is saying ‘thank you’ to fans across Merseyside with not one but three chances to see him strut his stuff in 2020.

He brings his This Is Me show to New Brighton, Southport and St Helens, accompanied by a cast of fellow professional dancers as he pays homage to the music and dances that have inspired his career.


Ian Waite and Vincent Simone – St Helens Theatre Royal

March 23

It’s ‘Act 2’ for ballroom boys – and former Strictly pro dancers – Ian Waite and Vincent Simone as they team up for another UK tour.

Dance, comedy and song are all promised by the duo when they appear at the Theatre Royal in March.

They also promise beautiful costumes, gorgeous lighting and world class routines, including the Viennese Waltz, the Foxtrot, the Rumba, and of course, an another incredible Argentine Tango routine by the master!

The boys will be joined by dance partners and a world class singer.


Burn The Floor - Southport Theatre

April 9

Brother and sister dance dynamos - and Strictly champions - Kevin and Joanne Clifton team up for Burn the Floor - Anything You Can Do.... which comes to Southport in April.

In the past two decades Burn the Floor has revolutionised ballroom style. Combining jaw-dropping choreography and ground-breaking moves, Burn the Floor brings infectious energy to the stage.

And with both having a glitter ball of their own, expect some sizzling sibling dance rivalry on stage.


Aljaž and Janette – Philharmonic Hall

April 15

Last season they were Remembering the Movies, and now Strictly’s smiley married couple Aljaž Skorjanec and Janette Manrara return to Liverpool where they’ll be Remembering the Oscars.

Whether you are Wishing On A Star, Swinging On A Star or merely dancing in the City of Stars, this production – complete with giant LED screen - will take you from Disney family favourites, through to the Golden Ages of Hollywood and Bollywood, with songs from Lady Gaga, Adele, Prince, Queen, Eminem, Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand, as well as classics from legendary songwriters such as Burt Bacharach, John Barry, Rodgers & Hammerstein, Irving Berlin and more.


The Joe and Dianne Show – Liverpool Empire

April 19

Expect music, comedy and a little bit of dance (obviously) in this new show from Strictly 2019 finalists Joe Sugg and pro dancer Dianne Buswell, coming to Liverpool in April.

Together for their first ever joint tour, The Joe & Dianne Show promises to give audiences an evening of glitz, magic and plenty of laughs, ‘guaranteed to leave fans of all ages spellbound’.
