Diana Ross makes Liverpool date as part of new UK tour


Motown legend Diana Ross is coming to Liverpool as part of her new UK tour.

She will bring the Diamond Diana Top of the World Tour to the M&S Bank Arena on July 1 next year.

Tickets cost from £73.15 to £166.50.

The superstar singer is promising an evening of ‘music, memories and career magic’ which will encompass some of her biggest hits from both her time with the Supremes and as a solo artist.

They include Stop! In the Name of Love, Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’m Coming Out and Chain Reaction.

The 75-year-old from Detroit started her music career aged 15 when she joined the Primettes vocal group who in 1961 changed their name to the Supremes. Between 1964 and 1967 they sang on 10 number one hit singles in the US and also had success in th UK charts.

She started her solo career in 1970 and has recorded 24 studio albums and almost 100 singles.

Along with her UK tour, Ross will also appear in the Sunday ‘legend’ slot at Glastonbury in 2020.

She said today: “I look forward to coming to the UK to be with all my fans, friends and family, it is an honour and a privilege to sing and dream, every concert is a blessing and a gift, I’m filled with excitement and huge appreciation. Dreams do come true.”
