Port Sunlight International Piano Festival brings top class talent to Wirral
Top flight talent from across the world will appear at a new piano festival being staged in Wirral next month. The Port Sunlight International Piano Festival runs on the weekend of September 26-27. And all concerts will be free to attend. The new festival is the brainchild of concert pianists William Bracken, who grew up in Wirral, and Alexia Daphne Eleftheriadou who are committed to bringing world-class music making to the village. Legendary Liverpool club Eric’s marks its half-century this autumn – and to celebrate it is set to enjoy a very special night at the city’s Philharmonic Hall. Liverpool’s popular former Threshold Festival is set to hold a special one-off 15th anniversary reunion in the Baltic Triangle next month. Hear Handel's Messiah at Liverpool Cathedral this autumn
Liverpool Cathedral will be the grand stage for a special performance of Handel’s Messiah this autumn. The epic event, which alternates annually between the cathedral and Metropolitan Cathedral, will take place on Saturday, October 3. The massed ranks of 350 singers will perform Felix Mendelssohn’s mighty oratorio Elijah in Liverpool Cathedral next weekend.
