The Penny Lane Weekender returns this August promising three days of ‘boss music’ at venues in and around the world-famous street.
The fourth annual event, shining a spotlight on local and independent musical talent, takes place from August 7-9.
Early Bird tickets at £10 are available now.
The 2026 line-up boasts an eclectic mix of genres, from indie, rock, pop and punk to electronica and dance music, and will be headlined by Scottish psychedelic band Helicon (pictured) and British-Jamaican grime and UK drill artist Reptile B.
Meanwhile among the other bands and artists set to take part are Mumbles, The People Assembly, Paint Me in Colour, Tom Collins, Ellie Moon, Evil Punk Machine and Aggressive Soccer Mums.
The grassroots community-led festival was founded in 2023 by Liverpool post-punk band Pleasure Island, initially as a one-off event in the upstairs room at the Dovedale Towers but quickly expanded. In 2024 it had four stages and featured 70 artists.
Organiser Sean Regan, frontman of Pleasure Island, says: “We’re having a great time here. We started out as punk squatters in an amazing derelict mansion, having fun in a wonderful piece of heritage…it almost felt like we were juggling with the crown jewels.
“Then the penny dropped that we have an opportunity to do something really great and we shouldn’t waste it. So for this year’s festival we’ve got one of Glasgow’s most stellar guitar bands down as a nod to the genre we’ve built the festival upon, then spiked the rest of the weekend with all the up and coming stars to remind us to always keep looking forwards.”
