Manchester Collective heads for Future Yard with Heavy Metal

Future Yard in Birkenhead is hosting a visit by the Manchester Collective this week.

Expect strings, percussion and live electronics when Heavy Metal is staged on Saturday, December 11.

The classical music ensemble previously played at the Argyle Street venue in October when it presented its Voice of the Whale show.

The collective was founded five years ago by Adam Szabo and Rakhi Singh and is known for its experimental programming and collaborations.

It plays in concert halls, club spaces and warehouses across the UK and Europe.

Heavy Metal promises to be an evening of “intensity, dynamics and volume” with new work commissioned from Sebastian Gainsborough (aka Vessel) and Ben Noboto.

Future Yard is the final date on a week-long tour which also takes in the Southbank Centre in London and Bristol’s Strange Brew.

Manchester Collective: Heavy Metal is at Future Yard on Saturday, December 11 at 8pm. Tickets HERE
