River of Light 2026 installations and where to find them
River of Light returns to Liverpool next month with 12 works unveiled for the free illuminated art trail’s ninth edition. The event takes place nightly from October 23 to November 1 and this year has the theme Together. Delivered by Culture Liverpool, the 2026 festival will focus on how light brings people closer in a joyful way. Celebrate Eric's at 50 at Liverpool Philharmonic Hall this autumn
Legendary Liverpool club Eric’s marks its half-century this autumn – and to celebrate it is set to enjoy a very special night at the city’s Philharmonic Hall. Eric’s at 50, on Friday, October 2, will feature artists who appeared in the Mathew Street club along with never-before-seen footage and tales from the time. Southport Flower Show 2026 countdown is on
Southport Flower Show opens its gates this month – with organisers expecting to welcome more than 50,000 visitors over the four-day event. The 2026 extravaganza, the UK’s largest independent flower show, takes place from August 20-23 on a 34-acre showground at the town’s Victoria Park. Entry on the gate is £32 but advance ‘early bird’ tickets costing £28 are available until August 19. Late entry tickets (after 3pm on August 21-23) are £20. Meanwhile children under 16 go free


Arts projects share £30,000 Liverpool BID funding
Lantern window installations, Chinese New Year projections and a series of live radio broadcasts will be staged in Liverpool with the help of £30,000 of special arts funding.
