It Must Be Love at Hope Street this Valentine's Day

A ‘raunchy’ romantic comedy is coming to the Hope Street Theatre for Valentine’s Day.

It Must Be Love is billed as a 70s romantic comedy with some naughty twists and a minefield of awkward moments.

Shirley is a hopeless romantic who wants her wedding day to be the best day of her life…and her wedding night to be even better. Boyfriend Phillip plays along but just wishes Shirley would give him a little bit of encouragement.

Writer and producer Paul Daley says: “It Must Be Love is a laugh out loud comedy about love and innocence, about Shirley, a dreamer and a romantic, and her frustrated-but-loving boyfriend.

“Shirley has promised Phillip a wedding night he’ll never forget. But not until her mother Pamela marries her own boyfriend Joe.”

Natasha Hale plays Shirley, Sean Radford is Phillip, Rachel Beach is Pamela and Ethan Madds plays Joe, while the Pampas Grass Productions show is directed by Kai Jolley.

It Must Be Love is at the Hope Street Theatre on February 14 at 7.30pm. Tickets HERE
