Liverpool Fringe Festival 2026 full programme details
Liverpool Fringe Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026 with a packed 12-day programme of performances.
This year’s festival runs from October 6-17 at venues across the city centre.
More than 30 different shows will be staged during the 2026 event which aims to act as a platform for talent and which is accessible to everyone.
The festival’s main base will be the Studio Beyond in Wood Street where most of the productions will be performed. But among other festival locations are the Hope Street Theatre, Stoneycroft Salvation Army Hall and Lucem House in St Helens.
The festival opens on Monday, October 5 with The Finkelberg Precedent which will be staged at Lucem House in St Helens’ Corporation Street until October 10. The original fringe theatre production by Elmerdene Productions drama is described as ‘Glengarry Glen Ross viewed through the lens of a classic Twilight Zone episode’.
Also on October 5, The Bookbinder in Lark Lane hosts The Dreaming, a night of poetry and prose.
Join Doris Daydream on a sentimental journey through the music and life of the legendary movie star and singer Doris Day in The Doris Dream at Studio Beyond on October 6.
The same evening the venue also hosts a Bernie Winston double bill – Andy’s Answer and Just the Two of Us.
On October 7, Walk of Life at Studio Beyond is billed as a take of adventures at sea and the problems of dry land.
Tony Vale’s play Cat’s Eyes will be staged at Studio Beyond on October 8, while audiences will be transported to an 1890s Parisienne cabaret at Roe’s Irish Pub in School Lane courtesy of Foxtrot Productions’ Murder at the Moulin Rouge. And over at the Hope Street Theatre, enjoy a ‘haunting night of entertainment’ courtesy of three shorts under the banner of A Dead Good Show.

October 9 sees the return of Foxtrot Productions to Roe’s, this time with Murder on the Dance Floor, while Hope Street Theatre plays host to the American Cold War-set satire Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche which is at the venue for two nights.
The Classic Cabaret Show comes to Studio Beyond on October 10.
And there is a busy festival Sunday (October 11) with no fewer than four events taking place: F*ck Instapoetry, an afternoon of poetry and spoken word with Eoin Carney at Liverpool Arts Bar, and then drama Rognons Diable, Flambeed with Retribution; The Girl Who Could Fly and the Liverpool Fringe Film Festival which are all Studio Beyond.
The festival continues into its second week on Monday, October 12 with up to 15 budding comedians on the same bill for Beyond the Laughter, and then a magic mentalism performance – Nekromantis: a theatrical Victorian séance – both at Studio Beyond.
Improv company Too Many Stairs present Three’s A Crowd at the Wood Street venue on October 13, while over at the Hope Street Hotel there’s A Moveable Feast, an evening of monologues and sketches. The festival finishes the evening back at Studio Beyond with Bernie Winston’s play Bad Blood – 20 Years Later.
There’s Poetry at the Fringe at the Ship and Mitre in Dale Street on October 14, while on the same evening Studio Beyond hosts immersive theatre experience Walk of Life.
SCALENO, presented in three languages – English, Italian and Neopolitan (don’t worry, there are surtitles), starts a three-night run at Studio Beyond on October 15, while the date also sees a performance at the venue of Ghosted!
Stoneycroft Salvation Army Hall in Old Swan is the location for Cinderella story Happily Ever After (a comedy, not panto) on October 16 and 17. And also on October 16, back in town at Studio Beyond, Kahli Morris presents her one woman show Eternally Marilyn.
Then the festival concludes on Saturday, October 17 with On The Fringe at Liverpool Arts Bar, the award-winning One Man Poe at the Hope Street Theatre (which takes place in three separate acts over the evening) and improv group Broken Chair which presents The Films That Never Were at Studio Beyond,
