Hope Street Blend Festival brings live music to Liverpool audiences this weekend

The Hope Street Blend Festival will bring live music to venues up and down the popular Liverpool cultural area this weekend.
The new music festival runs from Friday to Sunday, September 26-28 - coinciding with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic’s open day on Sunday.
Visitors to Hope Street will be able to enjoy a mix of pop up performances, many of them free, at venues including the Arts Bar, Papillon and Hope Street Hotel.
Meanwhile acoustic duo Me + Deboe will play at the Unity Theatre around the corner in Hope Place on Saturday afternoon.
On Friday, the Lydia Reece Trio will be in situ at Papillon during the day, while the Hope Street Hotel will have live music from 2-5pm. Ukebox will be at the Pen Factory from 8-10pm and the festival launch takes place at the Arts Bar at 9pm courtesy of Oliver Kidd-Martin.
The festival continues on Saturday with live music at the Dog and Collar taproom and tavern, Papillon – where the George Bastow Trio will perform and Hope Street Hotel.
Saturday evening sees Ellie Keegan at the Liverpool Arts Bar and Finite Project at Frederiks.
And on Sunday, Philharmonic Hall and Music Room will be open to visitors from 11am to 5pm, with performances on the stage and the chance to look behind the scenes.
Meanwhile live performances will also continue at the Dog and Collar, Hope Street Hotel, Papillon, and Liverpool Arts Bar. Prowsey, Boots and Nash will be at the Pen Factory, and Free State Kitchen in Maryland Street will also have music performances from 3-5pm.
