Everyman Underground presents new experimental work online

Liverpool Everyman is hosting a new Underground series showcasing digital performances of new bold and experimental work.

The initiative is being launched with four artists performing sets in an empty bar which will be available to watch on-demand from the end of this week.

Actor Paislie Reid is hosting the initial edition which features Bradford-born, London-based songwriter and instrumentalist Laura Groves; experimental spoken world duo The Circus Minds – made up of Liverpool musician Nick Ellis and spoken word artist Roy; jazz singer Ni Maxine who is performing with Merseyside musician Jack Lewis, and Liverpool singer-songwriter Oisin Hassan.

Hassan’s performance will be the first to be available online, from May 7, while Maxine will be available to watch from May 8, The Circus Minds on May 14 and Laura Groves from May 15.

Everyman Underground is being made possible thanks to a recent £390,000 grant from the Weston Culture Fund.
