Liverpool Digital Music Festival promises Bank Holiday beats

Liverpool Digital Music Festival takes over the internet (well, part of it) this month in a fundraising weekend of top tunes from some of the city's most talented musicians.

The festival, from August 29-31, is free but donations are being accepted with proceeds going to Claire House Children’s Hospice, Mary Seacole House and Merseyside Youth Association.

The M&S Bank Arena is hosting the main festival stage, while there will also be music broadcast live from a number of the city’s independent venues including the Jacaranda Club Phase One, E.B.G.B.S and The SAE Institute.

The three-day festival, billed as a celebration of Liverpool’s music scene, follows a successful ‘lockdown’ online event in May where more than 100 artists – including Natalie McCool, All We Are and Zuzu - live-streamed sets from home.

That helped raise more than £2,000 for the NHS and The Music Venue Trust.

Applications to play at the Bank Holiday festival are being accepted until midnight tomorrow, August 14.
