World's Biggest Panto comes to Liverpool this Christmas
Producers are billing it ‘the world’s biggest panto’ and Liverpool audiences will be able to find out why when The Wizard of Oz arrives in the city for one night only.
The seasonal spectacular from World’s Biggest Productions is coming to the M&S Bank Arena on Sunday, December 12.
The One Show, Our Farm in the Dales and Strictly star Matt Baker is taking on the title role of the Wizard, while ITV The Chase’s ‘Vixen’ Jenny Ryan is Glinda the good witch.
The show is performed on the world’s biggest pantomime stage, the size of four London Palladium stages, and with the addition of two further mobile stages which will travel around the arena as the Yellow Brick Road unfolds in front of the audience.
The set also includes giant video screens with animated computer graphic backgrounds and a magical ice-covered Emerald city skating scene, and the production features cirque stars as flying crows and a witch who flies around the arena on a broomstick.
Matt Baker said: “This Christmas I'm swapping the green fields of Our Farm in the Dales for the Emerald City.
“I'll be an acrobatic, laser wielding wizard and I might even bring the Children in Need Rickshaw along for the ride. It's a show packed with spectacular entertainment and fun with a brilliant script and cast to boot.”
The cast also includes Kelly Balaki as Dorothy, Jordan Conway as Scarecrow, Joe Speare as the Lion and Charlie Quirke as the Tin Man.
Tickets are on sale now priced from £29.50 to £47.50.
