Sleeping Beauty promises Liverpool Easter Panto fun

Gareth Gates is set to appear in Sleeping Beauty at the Auditorium at the M&S Bank Arena this spring.

The singer and Pop Idol star will head the cast in the Easter panto which is scheduled to run at the waterfront venue in April – Coronavirus pandemic restrictions permitting.

He will be joined in the fairytale story by Emma Grace Arends and Bippo the clown.

Tickets cost £18-£19 for ‘silver’ performances and £25-£26 for ‘gold’ shows.

The evil Carabosse curses the Princess to die on her 21st birthday. But thanks to Beauty’s Fairy, she only falls into a deep sleep that can be broken with a kiss from her true love.

Will her handsome prince come to her rescue and save the day?

The Easter production follows a Christmas pantomime at the Auditorium, and as with the show in December, the venue will have full Covid-safe precautions in place including social distancing – with the 1,350 capacity reduced to 500, deep cleaning between each performance, and a one way system and hand sanitiser stations around the entire venue.
