Royal Court extends Scouse Sleeping Beauty run

Liverpool’s Royal Court has extended the run of its Christmas show The Scouse Sleeping Beauty.

Theatre bosses took the decision because of ‘popular demand’.

The production will now run until Saturday, January 22.

It was already the show with the longest run in the City Region this season, although the first two weeks of the production were affected when Covid struck down half the cast at a crucial moment in the final tech week.

Non-isolating cast members put together a cabaret version of some of the songs and scenes from the show – penned by Kevin Fearon and directed by Stephen Fletcher – with audiences having the chance to watch and also come back and see a full version over the festive period.
