The Penny Lane Weekender returns to South Liverpool with live music across three days this weekend.

The annual festival event takes place from August 8-10 at venues in and around the world-famous road with a line-up of indie, rock, punk, electronica, dance and pop.

The weekender, founded by Liverpool post-Punk band Pleasure Island in 2023 when it grew from a planned one-off event at Dovedale Towers, aims to shine a spotlight on emerging musicians and independent artists from Liverpool and beyond.

Among the line-up for 2025 is The DSM IV, sci-fi rockers Silent-K, Japanese psych-rock band Quijaku, Edgar Jones, Helen Maw, Modern Marriage and Pleasure Island.

In addition to Dovedale Towers, the music takes place at Penny Lane Wine Bar, the Tavern Co and Fogherty's Bar.

Pleasure Island frontman, and weekender organiser, Sean Regan says: "This festival has been a shock for us all, given how we started it only two years ago as a gig upstairs in a pub,

“We've been very fortunate that the community has got behind this in such an incredible way, we just hope we can keep making it better and do everyone proud.

“Liverpool already has great festivals, but this is a part of town which hasn't had a lot of love, despite its musical legacy. Everyone who comes here tells us what a great place it is, with an amazing atmosphere that is perfect for a weekend of live music. We're really looking forward to seeing everyone again."

The Penny Lane Weekender runs from August 8-10. More details and ticket availability HERE
