Liverpool Empire date for Singin' in the Rain tour
Good morning, good morning…the irresistible, toe tapping Singin’ In The Rain is set to splash in to the Empire Theatre next summer.
The postponed UK touring production of the hit Chichester Festival Theatre show will spend a week at the Lime Street theatre from June 20-25 2022.
Simon Higlett’s stunning set design includes a torrent of more than 14,000 litres – that’s more than 3,000 gallons – of water which cascades on to the stage during each performance.
Casting for the show is yet to be announced.
Silent movie star Don Lockwood has it all - a string of hit films and a studio-engineered romance with the most beautiful actress in town.
What he doesn’t know is that the silver screen is about to find its voice, and a chance meeting with a talented young chorus girl set to steal his heart promises to change both Don, and Hollywood, forever.
This stage version of the much-loved, multi award-winning 50s romantic comedy musical is directed by Jonathan Church and has choreography by Andrew Wright.
Along with the title number, the score includes Moses Supposes, Make ‘em Laugh, Good Mornin’, You Are My Lucky Star and You Were Meant For Me.
Singin’ In The Rain is at the Liverpool Empire from June 20-25 2022. Tickets HERE
