Legally Blonde announces Liverpool dates on 2026 UK tour

Musical feelgood favourite Legally Blonde is set to visit the Liverpool Empire next spring as part of a new national tour.

The Olivier Award-winning stage show, based on the 2001 box office smash hit of the same name, comes to the Lime Street theatre from April 14 to 18 2026.

Tickets go on general sale tomorrow (Friday) at 10am.

The ultimate upbeat rom com follows Elle Woods on her transformation from West Coast fashionista and sorority queen to legal ace at Harvard Law School, all in the name of love.

Elle – accompanied by Bruiser the chihuahua – sets out to prove she is more than blonde ambition, learning along the way that ‘being true to yourself never goes out of style.’

The new show, a co-production between Leicester’s Curve Theatre and ROYO and directed by Curve’s artistic director Nikolai Foster, will visit 32 venues across the UK and Ireland. Casting is yet to be announced.

Theatre director Diane Belding says: "The show was last here in 2018 so we’re delighted it will return in 2026 and be a big part of what we are sure is to be another banner year in the history of the Empire Theatre.”
