Ghost Stories returns to Liverpool Playhouse in 2025
Andy Nyman and Jeremy Dyson’s stage chiller Ghost Stories returns to the Liverpool Playhouse next year as part of a UK tour.
The Williamson Square venue was the scene of the premiere of the original production in February 2010 with Nyman among the cast.
It went on to play at the Lyric Hammersmith and in the West End, returning there in 2019, and has also been staged in Australia and other countries including Russia, China, Canada and the Netherlands.
In 2017 it was filmed for the big screen starring Nyman, Paul Whitehouse, Martin Freeman and Alex Lawther.
When Professor Goodman, arch-sceptic out to debunk the paranormal, embarks on an investigation of three apparent hauntings – as recounted by a night-watchman, a teenage boy, and a businessman awaiting his first child – Goodman finds himself at the outer limits of rationality, and fast running out of explanations.
Enter a world full of thrilling twists and epic turns, where the ultimate love-letter to horror is imagined live on stage.
Billed as ‘a fully sensory and electrifying encounter’, Ghost Stories remains one of London’s best reviewed plays of all time and will keep you on the edge-of-your-seat.
Ghost Stories is at the Liverpool Playhouse from March 11-15. Tickets HERE
