Mamma Mia! here they go again - the smash hit Abba-infused musical is back on the road in 2026 and heading for the Liverpool Empire for a four-week Christmas run.
The touring production will be in the city from December 8, 2026 to January 3, 2027.
Tickets go on general sale today at 10am.
Now in its 27th year, Mamma Mia has been seen by more than 11 million people in the West End alone as well as touring to 42 countries worldwide - with audiences of 70 million - and being made into a blockbuster film starring Meryl Streep.
The vision of Julie Craymer, and written by Catherine Johnson, the ABBA-tastic smash hit tale of love, friendship and identity, set on a Greek island, is packed with the Swedish pop legends’ most famous tunes including Dancing Queen, SOS, Money Money Money, Thank You For the Music, Take a Chance on Me and Voulez-Vous.
Sophie is getting married, and her quest to discover the father she never knew brings her mother Donna face to face with three men from her distant romantic past on the eve of a wedding they’ll never forget.
The musical last came to the Liverpool Empire in 2022.
Casting is yet to be announced for the new UK tour which is directed by Phyllida Lloyd and choreographed by Anthony Van Laast.
