Catch the Borealis at the Royal Albert Dock this spring

An art installation has been launched which recreates the awe-inspiring Northern Lights is casting an eerie and hypnotic glow over the Liverpool waterfront.
Borealis, created by ‘artivist’ Dan Acher, is being staged along the Hartley Quay at the Royal Albert Dock from 7-10 each evening until March 30.
The work, which has been exhibited in more than 40 cities across the world, combines technology and the elements using beams of light to travel through cloud particles, creating a magical illusion of the Aurora Borealis, better known as the Northern Lights.
With the artwork affected by wind variations, humidity and temperature, Borealis promises to be unique to every viewing.
The mesmerising immersive experience, which has a custom-made score by French composer Guillaume Desbois, is free to view.

And the Royal Albert Dock is offering visitors to the installation an 'enhanced' viewing experience with limited edition street food including scouse from The One O'Clock Gun and special luxurious hot chocolate courtesy of Francie's Focaccia + Coffee.
Dan Acher is the founder of Happy City Lab, and an Ashoka Fellow, based in Geneva. Central to his work is art as generator of change across local and global communities.
