Strictly star Anton du Beke is set to appear in the acclaimed stage adaptation of Ballet Shoes when it comes to Liverpool as part of a newly announced UK tour.

The National Theatre’s acclaimed five-star family-friendly production heads for the Liverpool Empire from January 11-15, 2028.

Tickets go on general sale on Thursday, September 24.

Du Beke will play Great Uncle Matthew in the show which is adapted for the stage by Kendall Feaver in what is described as a ‘reimagining’ of the much-loved novel by Noel Streatfeild.

The production is directed by Katy Rudd.

In a crumbling house full of dinosaur bones and fossils, three adopted sisters, Pauline, Petrova and Posy, are learning who they are and discovering what they want to be.

Under the watchful eyes and guidance of their new guardians and some unlikely lodgers, they fight to pursue their individual passions; but in a world that wasn’t built for women with big ambitions, can they forge a future, keep their family together, and even learn a dance or two along the way?

Ballet Shoes is at the Liverpool Empire from January 11-15, 2028. More details and tickets HERE
