Casting announced for Liverpool Everyman world premiere

Liverpool Everyman has revealed the cast for A Billion Times I Love You which is being premiered at the Hope Street theatre this autumn.

Patrick Maguire’s new play will be staged from September 27 to October 8.

Jesse and Taylor are two young women in love. At least they think they are. But do we ever really know what love feels like for the other person? Is it real love, if they don’t always say it back?

Casting has now been confirmed, with Mary Higgins playing Jesse and Merseyside actor Melissa Lowe playing Taylor.

Meanwhile music will come from Liverpool rising star four-piece rock band Crawlers, and the production is being directed by Jessica Meade.

Meade, a graduate of YEP (Young Everyman Playhouse) and who is making her main stage debut with this play, said: “I feel really honoured to be opening the new season with this bold, brave and beautiful queer love story and incredibly grateful to be supported by (creative director) Suba Das and the team at the Everyman & Playhouse in this exciting next step of my career.

“My relationship began with their young director development programme, YEP Directors, so this opportunity is particularly special to me. It all feels very full circle.”
