Boaty Theatre to live stream new play Home, Again

Boaty Theatre is live streaming the premiere of a new play direct from the stage at its Ellesmere Port base this week.

Home, again will be available to watch online on Friday and Saturday, March 26-27.

The play, by actress Amy-Lou Harris who also stars, is set in a northern town in October 1945.

George returns home from service; not only battling with the emotional backlash of war, but he is also coming to terms with the impact that his injuries will have on his home life.

Anna has prepared for her husband's return, but doesn’t quite know what to expect; will he seem like a stranger? Will he even recognise her?

As the evening goes on, their relationship is tested as they each rely on memory to return to some kind of normal.

But it turns out that memory isn’t always the most reliable resource...

Curtis Ledsham plays George and Harris plays Anna.

Boaty Theatre is based at the Boat Shed Theatre in Ellesmere Port which opened its doors in February 2020 – one month before the first Coronavirus lockdown.

The Boat Shed Creative Community Hub includes a library, coffee shop, gallery, recording studio and studio theatre.

Home, again is being live streamed from the Boat Shed Theatre on March 26-27. More details and tickets HERE
