Blood Brothers returns to Liverpool Empire this autumn


Blood Brothers returns ‘home’ to Liverpool this autumn and tickets are on sale now.

Willy Russell’s celebrated musical will be at the Liverpool Empire from October 25 to November 5.

The original show was premiered at the Liverpool Playhouse in 1983, starring Barbara Dickson as Mrs Johnstone, and went on to take the West End by storm, becoming one of the great modern musicals.

X-Factor finalist Niki Evans takes on the role in this Bill Kenwright touring production which also stars Sean Jones who is reprising his role as Mickey for one final time.

Robbie Scotcher takes on Narrator duties while Eddie is played by Joel Benedict, Mrs Lyons by Paula Tappenden and Carly Burns joins the tour as Linda.

It’s directed by Bob Tomson and Bill Kenwright.

Since its premiere almost 40 years ago, the multi award-winning musical – which features songs including Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and the anthem Tell Me It’s Not True - has enjoyed successful runs across the globe, completing sell out seasons in the US, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and Japan.
