Blood Brothers returns to Liverpool Empire in 2025

Liverpool’s best-loved musical is set to return to the Empire stage in 2025 as the Lime Street theatre celebrates its centenary.

Blood Brothers will run from March 11 to March 22.

Tickets go on presale on Wednesday and on general sale this Friday at 10am.

Willy Russell’s moving tale of nature verses nurture has played hundreds of thousands of people at the theatre since it was first staged there 40 years ago.

The latest run will be the first time the Bill Kenwright Ltd production has visited the Empire since the death of the Liverpool-born producer and impresario last October.

The musical – which was first staged down the road at the Liverpool Playhouse in 1983 - features songs including Bright New Day, Just Like Marilyn Monroe and the anthem Tell Me It’s Not True.

Casting for the Empire run is yet to be announced.

Blood Brothers is at the Liverpool Empire from March 11-22, 2025. Tickets HERE
