James Blunt adds Liverpool arena date to 2021 tour

Singer-songwriter James Blunt has announced a live show in Liverpool in 2021.

The 46-year-old former army captain turned musician is bringing his international Once Upon a Mind tour to the M&S Bank Arena next May.

Liverpool is one of only six UK dates in a tour which also takes in Germany, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Scandinavia and the Faroe Islands.

Tickets, ranging from £29.60 to £101.75, go on sale at 10am tomorrow.

Blunt rose to fame with his 2004 album Back to Bedlam which included the song You’re Beautiful which topped the charts in the UK, US, Ireland and Canada.

Since then he has sold more than 23 million albums worldwide.

Once Upon A Mind, which was released last October, is his sixth studio album, and sees him return to what he does best after flirting with electronica on his previous record, The Afterlove. It includes the single Cold.

Apart from writing and recording music, the self-deprecating singer is famous for his acerbic and witty responses to critics on Twitter which has won him a huge following.
