Not the end for RLPO and Bootlegs' Beatles tribute

The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic and Bootleg Beatles have rescheduled their And In the End concert for 2021.

The Liverpool show, which were due to take place this spring, will now be staged on July 14 next year.

And an extra date has been added on July 13.

The UK-wide And in the End tour, which celebrates the 50th anniversaries of both the Beatles’ Abbey Road and Let It Be albums, opened at Hope Street last September.

Tragedy struck six months ago when presenter and performer, former Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band and Rutles star Neil Innes, died suddenly at the age of 75.

A re-worked version of the show, which includes songs from both albums along with a 1969 Overture – all with specially-composed orchestration by composer and arranger Ian Stephens, was due to visit venues including the Sage at Gateshead and Glasgow’s Clyde Auditorium this spring.

Along with the Philharmonic Hall concert, some further dates have also been rescheduled including one at the Usher Hall in Edinburgh, which will now take place on July 16 2021, and the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham on July 22 next year.
