Postive Vibration reggae festival postponed to 2021

The Festival of Reggae is the latest annual Liverpool event to axe its 2020 dates because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The Positive Vibration festival was due to have been held this weekend in the Baltic Triangle.

But now organisers have confirmed the festival has been postponed until June 11-12 next year in what they are dubbing a ‘Second Wave’.

In a statement they said: “Like many other events and festivals, we’ve had to make the tough decision of postponing this year’s festivities. “We were really excited to be returning to the Baltic Triangle and couldn’t wait to see all of your wonderful faces, but the health, safety and well-being of the audience, performers, staff, volunteers and everyone else involved in the festival is paramount.”

Anyone who has already bought a ticket is being asked to hold on to it as it will be valid for 2021.

The confirmed line up for 2021 includes Gentleman’s Dub Club, Hollie Cook, The Twinkle Brothers, Mad Professor feat Don Letts, Tippa Irie, Horseman + The Upper Cut Band, Neville Staple Band, African Head Charge + Gaudi, Mellow Mood, DJ Vadim + Jman, Sinai Sound System and Levi Tafari.

There will also be a Reggae Q&A panel discussion which focuses on the impact of reggae on British music, culture and society, an Art of Reggae exhibition and family events.
