Star Wars brings the force to Liverpool Philharmonic

The force will be strong at Liverpool's Philharmonic Hall this autumn with live music accompanying a special screening of Return of the Jedi.

The climactic sixth episode (and third original film) in the Star Wars saga will be presented live in concert for the first time with a symphony orchestra performing its iconic John Williams-composed Oscar-nominated score as the action unfolds.

Since the release of the first Star Wars film more than 40 years ago, the intergalactic saga has had a seismic impact on both cinema and culture, inspiring audiences around the world with its mythic storytelling, captivating characters, ground-breaking special effects and iconic music scores.

Return of the Jedi, first released in 1983, sees Luke Skywalker, Han Solo and Princess Leia joined by Jabba the Hutt, Yoda and the Ewoks in an adventure that takes them across the galaxy as Darth Vader prepares to unleash a final blow on the Rebel Alliance.

The Star Wars: Film Concert Series is produced under license by Disney Concerts in association with 20th Century Fox and Warner/Chappell Music.

Star Wars: Return of the Jedi live in Concert is at the Philharmonic Hall on November 9. Tickets HERE
