Liverpool Beatles attractions announce temporary closure
Liverpool’s main Beatles attractions have temporarily closed as part of the response to Government advice over the spread of Coronavirus.
The Beatles Story is shutting its doors until April 6.
And the Cavern Club has announced it is also closing, for two weeks until April 3, along with the Cavern Pub, Festival restaurant, and Magical Mystery Tour.
A statement from the Royal Albert Dock-based Beatles Story said: “We understand that this inconvenience will be a huge disappointment to our valued customers, but ultimately we all want to protect the health and safety of our visitors, employees and communities and we believe that this is the right decision to make during these challenging times.”
All tickets already bought will be honoured for an alternative future date, subject to availability.
Cavern Club bosses say forthcoming festivals and events including International Beatleweek, The MOD Weekender and International Pop Overthrow are all planned to take place as normal. Gigs that were due to be held at the Cavern over the next two weeks will be rescheduled.
They added: “Everybody needs to remain patient but above all remain safe. We are a huge international family and we look forward to that moment when we can all successfully get back to our normal lives.”
