Shakespeare's Dream comes to Wirral outdoor venues

Off the Ground Theatre presents Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at open air venues across Wirral this summer.

On a midsummer’s night, four young lovers find themselves lost in deep in the forest where fabulous fairies and troublesome sprites are always looking to cause trouble.

An actor gets turned into a donkey, the lovers swap partners, and a man dresses up as a woman – in other words, a perfect Shakespearean night out.

The Wirral dates are part of a wider tour which also takes in Ireland and Northern Ireland.

You can catch Puck, Peaseblossom, Titania, Oberon and Bottom at Birkenhead Priory on July 25, Burton Manor on July 26, Claremont Farm on July 28, Queen’s Park on July 31, Royden Park on August 3 and Gordale Garden Centre on August 4.

Performances start at 7.30pm except at Claremont Farm and Gordale where there is a 6.30pm start time.

Off the Ground Theatre was founded in 1994 and is based in West Kirby. It has been touring outdoor shows across the UK and wider Europe for more than 20 years.
