The Kingdom Choir comes to Liverpool Philharmonic

The gospel choir which sang at the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle is set to perform in Liverpool this year as part of a UK tour.

And The Kingdom Choir is looking for young singers from across the city to perform alongside its members at the concert at the Philharmonic Hall.

The concert takes place on May 21.

To be in with a chance of singing on the same stage, children’s and youth choirs are invited to send a YouTube link of one of their performances and complete an application form HERE

Karen Gibson, founder and conductor of The Kingdom Choir, said: “Being part of the Royal Wedding was such an honour and we were delighted to be part of such a prestigious national day of celebration.

“As we tour the UK in 2019, we can’t wait to meet people across the country – especially young singers.

“Last year was like an un-dreamt dream – one that you wouldn’t even consider, because you never thought it could happen to you. We want to share our experience and dreams, and hopefully inspire a new generation of singers.”

Since The Kingdom Choir performed Stand By Me at Windsor Castle last May, it has been invited to appear on numerous TV shows and also sang at the Invictus Games in Sydney.

A debut album, also titled Stand By Me, features songs from John Legend’s All of Me to an original track, Chases, penned by members of the choir.

The Kingdom Choir will appear at the Philharmonic Hall on May 21. Tickets HERE
