Liverpool history centre stage at Central Library

Key moments and themes connected with Liverpool’s rich history are set to be discussed at a series of interactive seminars in the city.

Liverpool Life and Landscapes takes place at Central Library between October 4 and November 1, aiming to give an insight in to subjects from across the centuries.

The series of 90-minute Thursday afternoon seminars will each feature collections of original archives which are housed in the William Brown Street library.

They kick off on October 4 with Liverpool: Port on the Mersey, followed by Liverpool and Slavery on October 11, Liverpool: How the Poor Lived (October 18), Liverpool: How the Wealthy Lived (October 25), and finish with Liverpool: A History in Maps on November 1.

Each seminar runs from 2-3pm and places are limited. The cost is £25 per event or £100 for all five seminars.
