Let It Be gets back to the Liverpool Empire

It seems the time to let it be is yet to come.

So Fab Four fans will be pleased to hear the Beatles are back at the Liverpool Empire next month, in a newly-updated version of the hit stage show celebrating their career.

Let It Be: A Celebration of the Music of the Beatles part two features a completely new second half which is set a decade after the Liverpool band split up in 1970.

In it, audience members are given an idea of what would have happened if John, Paul, George and Ringo had reunited to perform live again – a sort-of concert that never was, and a concert that, after John Lennon’s murder in December 1980, could never happen.

The original Let It Be stage show has been seen by more than two million people worldwide, and touring productions have previously visited the Liverpool Empire and the Royal Court.

Michael Gagliano, who has appeared in the show in America and the West End, plays John Lennon, Emanuele Angeletti from Italy returns to Paul McCartney duty, John Brosnan reprises his role as George Harrison, and Ben Cullingworth plays Ringo Starr.

They will be joined on stage throughout the UK tour by musical director Michael Bramwell on keyboards.
