The sights and sounds of Sir David Attenborough’s TV smash hit Blue Planet are coming to the Echo Arena in an epic live show.
Blue Planet II – Live in Concert will be staged at the waterfront venue on March 26 next year.
The Liverpool show is part of a UK and Ireland live arena tour which is a live adaptation of the BBC Natural History Unit’s long-standing, multi award-winning series, first broadcast in 2001.
It promises stunning visuals from the television series, projected on to a state-of-the-art 200sq m 4k Ultra HD LED screen in the arena and accompanied by an immersive score performed live by a full symphony orchestra.
Viewers can expect a memorable and breathtaking voyage through the luminous depths of the oceans and from coral reefs to icy polar seas.
Blue Planet offers a completely new perspective on our oceans, coasts and coral ecosystems - full of mystery, surprise, and startling revelations.
During the four-year filming of Blue Planet II, the teams embarked on 125 expeditions, travelled to 39 countries, and filmed on all continents and in every ocean. They spent 6,000 hours deep-sea diving, 1,000 of which were on underwater boats, and used revolutionary technology to capture the words they explored.
Blue Planet II – Live in Concert is at the Echo Arena on March 26 2019. Tickets on sale from June 8 priced £45.50-£67.50, from the website HERE
