The Kite Runner returns to Liverpool Playhouse

The Everyman and Playhouse’s popular co-production of The Kite Runner is returning to Liverpool for a third time.

Matthew Spangler’s stage adaptation of Khaled Hosseini’s best-selling novel comes to the Playhouse for five nights, opening on February 27.

On a beautiful afternoon in Kabul, the skies are full of the excitement and joy of a kite flying tournament. But a terrible incident is about to shatter the lives of childhood friends Hassan and Amir forever.

The Kite Runner, directed by Giles Croft and featuring live music from Hanif Khan, is a co-production with the Nottingham Playhouse, and was first premiered in 2013, and returned to Liverpool in 2014.

Since then it has enjoyed a West End run and the latest Liverpool dates come ahead of a new UK tour.
