Tears For Fears Liverpool tour date revealed

Tears for Fears are set to play at the Echo Arena this week.

The 80s stars, whose biggest hits include Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Shout and Mad World, will appear at the Liverpool waterfront venue on Tuesday May 8.

Roland Orzabal and Curt Smith formed the band in Bath in 1981. The pair had previously played together in a band called Graduate.

Their debut album, 1983 record The Hurting, spawned three top five singles including their first hit, Mad World, while their follow up Songs From the Big Chair coincided with worldwide success.

Over the last three decades Tears For Fears have sold 30 million albums worldwide, including the 1989 Seeds of Love, and have played countless sold out shows.

Now they are returning with their Rule the World tour to coincide with a Greatest Hits album being released on November 10.

Fellow 80s favourite Alison Moyet will be a special guest at the Liverpool show.

Tears For Fears are at the Echo Arena on May 8. Tickets from the website HERE.
