Take a Summer Holiday at the Liverpool Empire

Ray Quinn is set to head the cast of Summer Holiday when it comes to the Liverpool Empire this spring.

The feelgood musical, based on Cliff Richard's 60s film, follows the exploits of Don and his fellow London Transport bus mechanics as they travel across Europe on an iconic red double decker Routemaster, with plenty of adventures along the way.

And it also features all those hit songs from the 1963 movie including Living Doll, Move It, In The Country, Travellin’ Light, Bachelor Boy and the title track, Summer Holiday.

Expect an evening of musical nostalgia from the year Beatlemania struck Britain, the Great Train Robbers struck the Glasgow to London mail train, Kim Philby defected, Martin Luther King had a dream, and a piece of the American dream died with John F Kennedy.

Summer Holiday comes to the Liverpool Empire from May 8-12 and tickets are available from the website HERE
