Wicked cast unveiled for Liverpool Empire

EastEnders baddie Aaron Sidwell is set to come to Liverpool in Wicked next spring.

The actor, who plays Steven Beale in the soap and has starred in Loserville and American Idiot on stage, will appear as Fiyero in the hit musical which is spending almost a month at the Liverpool Empire.

The confirmed cast also includes Amy Ross as Elphaba and Helen Woolf as Glinda, while Steven Pinder returns as the Wizard and Doctor Dillamond.

Wicked is the incredible untold story of the Witches of Oz, and what happened to divide two friends in to ‘good’ and ‘bad’.

The award-winning musical features songs including Popular, As Long as You’re Mine, and Defying Gravity.

When it made its Liverpool debut in 2014 it was seen by 68,000 people, the equivalent of one in seven of the city’s population.
