Echo Arena date for John Legend this weekend

John Legend brings his Darkness and Light tour to the Echo Arena this weekend.

The singer-songwriter will be supported at Sunday’s show by Jack Savoretti, who recently played the Philharmonic Hall on his own tour.

Multi-platinum selling, Oscar, Golden Globe and 10 times Grammy Award-winning Legend, who had a starring role in La La Land, will perform songs from his most recent album as well as fans’ favourite tracks.

The 38-year-old from Springfield, Ohio, whose real name is John Roger Stephens, comes to Liverpool as part of a UK tour which has so far seen him play in Glasgow, Newcastle, Nottingham and London.

Legend started playing the piano at the age of seven, and after working with Kanye West in his early 20s, released his first album in 2004.

His song Glory, co-written with rapper Common, won an Oscar and Golden Globe after being featured in the Hollywood film Selma. And along with an appearance in La La Land, he also recently duetted with Ariana Grande on a song for Beauty and the Beast.

John Legend comes to the Echo Arena this Sunday, September 17. Tickets £50-£77.50 on the website HERE.
