An autumn of comedy at the Philharmonic Hall

Comedy fans should check out what’s on at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall over the next few months – because there’s no shortage of laughs planned.

A host of rising stars and top comedy names are heading for Hope Street with their live stand up shows.

Stewart Lee returns to the hall for two nights in September (14-15) with Content Provider, following four years of writing and performing his TV show Stewart Lee’s Comedy Vehicle.

Meanwhile Liverpool’s favourite troubadour, Steve Gribbin, takes to the stage in the Music Room on September 21 as part of the 2017 Liverpool Comedy Festival.

In Shunted Again! he rails against the current state of Britain's railways, using his very worst train journeys as examples.

Joel Dommett

TV regular, and I’m a Celebrity contestant, Joel Dommett visits Hope Street on October 13, while 8 Out of 10 Cats team captain – and now husband and father – Jon Richardson is at the hall on December 8. Tickets for his The Old Man show are already limited.

December also sees the return of Laughterhouse Live and none other than Sir Ken Dodd, because it wouldn’t be Christmas without a trip to the Master of Mirthyside’s Happiness Show.
