Wizard of Oz comes to St Helens this half term

The yellow brick road leads to St Helens Theatre Royal next month with the arrival of the venue’s half term panto.

The Wizard of Oz will be staged between February 11-20 at the town centre theatre.

Mia Molloy returns to the St Helens stage to play Dorothy, while Abigail Middleton will be her nemesis, the Wicked Witch, and Jenna Sian O’Hara is Glinda the Good Witch.

Dorothy’s three travelling companions, the Scarecrow, Tin Man and Lion, are being played by Reece Sibbald, Harry Moore and Scott Gallagher respectively.

And Adam Melville appears as the Wizard.

Theatre manager Chantelle Nolan says: “The Wizard of Oz really has stood the test of time on stage and the silver screen. Seeing children sitting in the auditorium alongside their parents and grandparents, all enjoying the show, is very special.

“This year Regal Entertainments will also be bringing Peter Pan, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella to the St Helens stage. But for now, click your heels together as we join Dorothy and Toto on their colourful adventure.”

Covid secure measures remain in place at the theatre.
