Massive rave and tribute festival for Southport this summer
The 90s are being revisited in a massive outdoor rave in Southport this summer which organisers hope will celebrate the end of Covid lockdown restrictions.
Save The Rave will take over Victoria Park on Saturday, June 26.
The line-up includes Angie Brown, Livin’ Joy, 2Funky2, Shades of Rhythm, Ultrabeat and a DJ set from N-Trance.
There will also be pop up gin and prosecco bars, street food and giveaways.
Save The Rave is being billed as the biggest outdoor 90s rave event ever to be held in Southport.
It will run from noon until 10pm and while early bird tickets are already sold out, standard tickets at £30 plus booking fee and VIP tickets – which include private bar, private toilets, private seating and priority admittance - at £70 plus booking fee are still available.
Meanwhile the next day, Victoria Park will be the stage for the Lookalike Tribute Festival, which will feature a host of tribute acts celebrating the music of bands and artists like Queen, The Rolling Stones, Fleetwood Mac, Amy Winehouse, David Bowie, ABBA, Elton John, Oasis and, of course, The Beatles.
Tickets are £25 or VIP tickets £50, both subject to booking fees.
Event organiser James Daly, of Jaly Concerts, said: “It feels great to host events again and due to such a wait for this moment we decided to come back with a bang.
“Victoria Park in Southport is an ideal location and we’re really proud to be bringing the biggest open air 90s event to Southport and the largest tribute festival in the UK too.”
