Maisie Adam launches tour with Liverpool Laughterhouse date

Comedian Maisie Adam is bringing her new live stand-up show to Liverpool this September.

The 28-year-old will perform Buzzed at the Laughterhouse at Slaughterhouse in Fenwick Street on September 15 at the start of a 32-date autumn tour.

The show promises witty observations and anecdotes, high octane energy and ‘some right good jokes’.

Yorkshire-born Adam, a former member of the National Youth Theatre, graduated with a BA in acting and theatre from East 15 Acting School and in 2015 won a Laurence Marks sitcom writing mentorship.

She did her first stand-up gig at the Ilkley Literature Festival fringe six years ago, and in 2017 won the So You Think You’re Funny? competition - only the fourth women to win the accolade in 30 years.

Her 2018 Edinburgh Fringe show Vague saw her nominated for the Best Newcomer Award, while she also won the Amused Moose National New Comic Award the same year.

Adam’s TV appearances have included Live at the Apollo, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Mock the Week, The Last Leg and Would I Lie to You?
