Liverpool Summer Arts Market 2021 dates announced

The Summer Arts Market will be staged at Liverpool Cathedral over two Saturdays in June.

More than 50 artisans, designers and makers will showcase their work at the market on June 5 and 19.

The announcement follows the successful socially distanced Winter Arts Market held in the Grade I listed sandstone landmark last December.

Among the items on offer will be paintings, original screen prints, tableware, handmade beauty products, knitwear, candles, textiles, accessories, woodwork, jewellery, decorations and photography.

Each event takes place from 10am to 4pm and entrance is by pre-booked timeslots although there will be a small number of ‘walk up’ places reserved for throughout the day.

The annual arts markets are organised by Open Culture.

Director Christina Grogan said: “We’re so pleased to be able to bring the Summer Arts Markets back to the cathedral after a year's absence due to the pandemic.

“It’s a chance for everyone to support independent artists and makers and find beautiful unique creations, most of which are handmade locally.

“We’re asking visitors to come and enjoy a truly different shopping experience, in an awe-inspiring location not to be missed. It’s a wonderful alternative to online shopping too, it’s such a pleasure to be able to see and touch handmade items and take them home with you.”

The Summer Arts Market is at Liverpool Cathedral on June 5 and 19. Entrance is £5 (under 16s go free). Book online HERE
