It’s all about Brian Cox this autumn when the Succession star comes to Liverpool as part of a national tour.
The award-winning actor will appear at the Philharmonic Hall on October 26 with his It’s All About Me! live show.
Tickets go on sale from 10am tomorrow, June 25.
The 79-year-old will take audiences on a journey through his life and incredible career, from the backstreets of Dundee to the glittering lights of Hollywood. Expect candour, searing honesty and hilarious stories.
Then after the interval he will be joined on stage by producer Clive Tulloh who will put questions to him from the audience.
Cox said today: "I’m looking forward to this tour as it marks something a little different for me - sharing the stage with myself. As the title indicates, the show will focus more than ever on my life and career.
“In the second half, the tables are turned, and the audience will have the chance to put their questions to me. It should be a lot of fun.”
The youngest of five children, Cox left school at 15 and worked at Dundee’s famous Repertory Theatre before studying at LAMDA.
He made his West End debut aged 20 as Orlando in As You Like It and later worked at the National Theatre and RSC, before appearing for the first time on Broadway in 1985. He later taught at the Moscow Arts Theatre School.
In recent years Cox has become a household name through playing Logan Roy in the international hit TV show Succession, for which he won a Golden Globe.
Over his long career in acting he has also won a Primetime Emmy Award, Screen Actors Guild Award and two Olivier Awards.
