Liverpool Empire date for new Osmonds musical in 2021

The Osmonds were one of the biggest bands of the 1970s with some of the most dedicated fans.

And now Liverpool Empire audiences are being invited to relive some of that puppy love with a new musical celebrating their life and music.

The show is heading for the Lime Street theatre in November 2021.

From the band’s early appearances on the Andy Williams Show to the screaming guitars of Crazy Horses, from Donny and Marie to Little Jimmy Osmond’s Long Haired Lover from Liverpool, the story of the family group from Salt Lake City is packed with sparkly flares and top tunes.

The show – based on a story by Jay Osmond, who calls it a ‘living autobiography’ – is written by Sean Kerrison and Julian Bigg and will be directed by Kerrison with choreography by Olivier Award-winning Bill Deamer.

It features a chart-topping list of anthems including Love Me For A Reason, Crazy Horses, Let Me In, Puppy Love, One Bad Apple, Paper Roses and many more.

Casting is yet to be announced.

The Osmonds: A New Musical comes to the Liverpool Empire from November 2-6 2021. Tickets go on general sale from November 13 HERE
