Liverpool Disco Festival 12-hour Easter party online

Liverpool Disco Festival is set to stage a ‘lockdown live stream’ this Sunday.

The 12-hour event from noon to midnight will also raise funds for the city’s Whitechapel Centre with people encouraged to make online donations.

Festival organisers said: “Easter Sunday may not be going ahead in the way we had planned but we can still have a party. In fact, even more of you can join us as we stream worldwide with an esteemed selection of DJs and friends from across the globe.

“The current climate may be disconcerting for many of us, but if there’s one thing we all know it’s that music can be the glue that holds us together and lifts our spirits; the universal language we can all understand.

“United on the dance floor we may not be, but united in our living rooms we will be.”

The festival will include sets from Jovonn and John Morales in New York, LDF resident Rahaan live from Chicago, and a live performance from Angel-A as well as Amsterdam’s Marcel Vogel. Ireland’s Queen & Disco and Liverpool Disco Festival’s Morgan & Marsden round off the bill.

The event will be broadcast on the Liverpool Disco Festival Facebook page @LiverpoolDiscoFest, along with Instagram and Twitch.
