Celebrate Bold Street with a day of food and fun

Shops and restaurants will spill out into the road when the annual Celebrating Bold Street returns next weekend.

Food, drink, and music from some of Liverpool’s most talented up-and-coming performers will be on offer on Sunday, July 7.

There will also be family-friendly entertainment and animation during the day which runs from 10am to 6pm.

The summer street party will see restaurants and cafés including Maray, Mowgli, LEAF, Soul of Bold Street and American Pizza Slice showcase their menus in an al fresco atmosphere.

Meanwhile Bakchich will fire up an on-street Lebanese barbecue, and Honest Burgers will also have a presence ahead of its opening in the summer.

The event is the culmination of Liverpool BID’s Independents' Week, which starts on Monday, July 1 and aims to engage local independent businesses, employees and visitors in celebrating the entrepreneurial spirit of the city’s growing independent business community.

Bill Addy, chief executive of Liverpool BID Company, and chairman of the Liverpool Visitor Economy Network (LVEN), said: "Celebrating Bold Street has become one of the BID’s flagship events. From a visitor perspective it’s simply a great day out for all the family, and an opportunity to find out why everyone is talking about Bold Street.

“The street is magic and unique on every level, not only in the context of Liverpool, but internationally, from the eclectic mix of restaurants and shops, many independent, to the amazing people who work hard to make Bold Street the destination it has become.”

Celebrating Bold Street is on Sunday, July 7.
